Current Skin Care Products

Skin care – one of the most important “treat yo-self” things you can do these days. I’ve decided to share my skincare routine with you all! Now before I get into it, this is not an everyday thing – I usually only follow a routine after I shower, so it falls every other day rather. I also don’t use anything too expensive, most of it is from Amazon or Marshall’s so it’s affordable for all!

Every morning starts with me washing my face with just soap and water, nothing fancy! I don’t like to use face wash every day because I feel like it will dry my face out. I also don’t wear makeup too much (if ever), so just soap and water work for me. Then at night, I usually will just use a makeup/face wipe to clean off any dirt from the day. But after I shower, I like to treat my face a little more.

Step 1 | Face Wash

I like to use my face wash in the shower because all the commercials are liars! Splashing water on your face to clean off a mask will make a mess everywhere… 10/10 would NOT recommend (haha). The face mask I have been using is Elizabeth Arden 2-in-1 CleanserI know I got it from Marshall’s, so there’s no way it cost anything crazy. It is a foaming, creamy cleanser and toner in one, so it always leaves my face feeling nice and clean.

Step 2 | Collagen Face Mask

Since the face wash I use is a toner as well, I don’t usually use one before my face mask. The face masks I use are inexpensive as well, as I get them from Amazon. The ones I use are the Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Facial Mask Sheet. There are a few different packs there depending on how many masks you want to buy. I go for the big package so I only have to order every so often. Make sure to use the extra essence on your neck and chest! And while you’re relaxing with your mask on, make sure not to fall asleep with it on. They are supposed to be left on for 15-20 minutes usually, so anything longer may hurt more than it helps.

Step 3 | Moisturizer

Who doesn’t love to moisturize their face?! It always has you feeling nice and smooth and smelling good. I’ve been using Nivea Shea Daily Moisture lately and I love it. I’ll use about two pumps to cover my face and neck. I honestly don’t know where it’s from as my mom probably just picked it up somewhere while out shopping (shout out to mom!). lotion your face, neck, chest, hands, feet, everything! Your skin will thank you.

Step 4 | Eye Cream

I just recently started using eye cream – boo to getting older. I’ve just began using The Organic Pharmacy Lip & Eye Cream which I got from an Ipsy bag a while ago. It’s for around both your eyes and mouth to “nourish, treat and refresh,” but I’ve just been using it around my eyes. I haven’t been using it too long, so check back in a little while for an update on it!

Step 5 | Chap Stick

Chap Stick is super important, especially in the colder months. I always out Chap Stick on after I shower just because I have an issue with dry lips sometimes. I don’t use anything specific just whatever Chap Stick is on my dresser at the time. Keeping your lips moisturized is important – you never know who you might be kissing!

Extra | Mask of Magnamity

This is a mask that my sister had bought me for Christmas. She got it as Lush, so once again, the price won’t break the bank. It is a tingly, minty face and body mask created to clean your skin but will never be harsh. This mask is also meant to be kept on for 15 minutes, and then washed off with warm water. I like to put it on before I get in the shower then wait because like I mentioned earlier – it’s easier to wash things off your face when in the shower rather than over the sink. I use this mask once a week usually, no more than that. I really do enjoy this mask and will definitely be re-upping once it runs out.

Extra | Serum

Occasionally, I will throw a serum on after the face mask and before the moisturizer. I’m not sure where it came from, as it is my sister’s (thanks Christina!), but the name of it is Measurable Difference Rose Hip Oil. I really like how my face feels after using it, and you really don’t need too much to cover your whole face. I would recommend adding a serum to your routine if you need a little more hydration in your life.

What a really detailed routine! Lol I try to keep up a routine and sometimes it works other times I’m lucky if I remember to follow through or if I don’t fall asleep flat on my face first LOL 🙁 The only product on this list I’m familiar with is the Lush mask and as for eye cream I’ve recently tried this ELF one that’s pretty good for the price. Great post! 😀

I try and do the routine as much as I can but like you, sometimes I just fall into bed and don’t care! 😂 I’ll definitely check out the ELF eye cream, I’ve always liked their products.

I really gotta try out those collagen face masks! And nivea’s lotion has been my savior. I love how it actually do something instead of just making my skin sticky and moisturized for 5 minutes. Thanks for sharing!

I feel like it makes my skin more moisturized and I definitely think it makes my skin smoother .. I’ve been using them for over a year though so maybe it takes some time?

I am a huge Nivea fan, I think their body lotion has to be the best in the market, it keep your skin moisturized for so long I never have to reapply.

I like the sound of the Lush face mask! I usually do my routine every other day too and try to do a face mask once a week. I’ve been using a Simple moisturiser every evening at the moment which seems to be working for me!

I’ve never tried Lush skincare, but that mask sounds so good! Chap stick is such a must in these cooler months! I have dry skin, and my favourite face wash for the last few years has been Cera Ve. So hydrating!
